The agent of Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic has said that his client will definitely not be leaving in the summer amidst talk that Vidic is looking for a move away from Old Trafford. Since arriving in 2006, Vidic has managed to establish himself as one of the best defenders in the world. He is right now the captain of the Manchester United team. After suffering injury hell in the last few years, Vidic is thought to be looking for a change of scene in the hope that it will improve the situation.
If Vidic indeed goes on the market, then he will find no shortage of takers due to his impressive qualities. Barcelona are known admirers of the 31-year-old and they are in the market for a new central defender. After the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson, Vidic is also thought to be interested in the possibility of a move. AC Milan have shown tremendous interest in the player in the past, and they are believed to be in for the player once again.
His agent, though, has cleared the rumours by stating that Vidic remains extremely happy at Manchester United and he is not thinking about a move elsewhere. United will be beginning the new era with former Everton manager David Moyes.
“We are talking with no-one. This is all pub talk. This is the first time I heard that news and I don’t know where it came from. We’re talking about the captain of Manchester United here, not just any player. Vidic has no problems with United – all the talk is hot air,” said his agent in a recent interview given to an Italian tabloid. AC Milan are on the lookout of experienced players after losing a number of top players like Alessandro Nesta and Gattuso in recent years.
