NO MORE WAITING

Manchester United’s winger Ashley Young has said that he does not want to wait any more for his first major trophy of his Manchester United career. The 28-year-old has so far managed to lift only the Community Shield since arriving at the club back in 2011. The club almost managed to lift the Premier league last season, but a miraculous collapse from United in the final few weeks of the campaign handed the title to their arch rivals Manchester City. After seeing their archrivals lift the trophy, United have been even more focused on winning the title this time around.

They currently have a 12 point advantage in the table and are odds on favourite to lift the trophy for the 20th time. United also have the possibility to win the FA Cup as well, but they will not be able to win the Champions League after being knocked out in the last 16 stage by Real Madrid a few days ago. Most of the United players have won numerous titles over the last few years, but Young remains as one of the rare breeds. The winger arrived from Aston Villa in a £ 20 million deal two years ago. His presence has given United a major advantage in set pieces.

“I have come to the club to win trophies. That is what I want to do. Hopefully we can kick on now until the end of the season and maintain the good form we have shown so far. When you move to a club like United you look at the trophy cabinet and what they have won. Everybody is a born winner. The manager gives you that belief to win every game and win trophies. I joined the club to win trophies,” said the 28-year-old ahead of the match with Reading.
