Angel di Maria says clubs planning to buy Best Players

Manchester United’s record signing Angel di Maria says that the club are in the process of building a great team and this shows in the results that the club has secured last few months. After making a great start to his United career, di Maria has gone off the boil in the last few months.

Persistent and niggling injury problems have also not helped his cause, but the 26-year-old is expected to play a starring role in the second half of the season. At the start of the campaign, United looked a shadow of themselves and Louis Van Gaal did not appear to make a lot of progress from the David Moyes era.

A run of victories during the months of November and December helped United established themselves as the favourites to finish in the third place, while there was even the talk of a title. Towards the start of 2014 results have turned poor and United understand that they cannot think about the title this season. Di Maria reckons that the club will come back strong once they start to get their injured players back. United Chief executive Ed Woodward has refused to rule out the possibility of signing top players once again if the opportunity arose.

“From the start of the season to now, you can see that we’ve grown. We weren’t so great at the beginning but we’ve started getting a few victories under our belts. There are some people saying that we’re not playing in a particularly good style or that it’s not the old Manchester United – but it’s not. We’re beginning something new here. We’ve got a new style, we’ve got a new manager and we’re all working hard to make sure we’re putting Manchester United back where it belongs. We’re focusing on growing as a team,” said Di Maria.
