When are city council meetings held? PDF Print E-mail

By state law for the optional form of government we use in West Jordan (council-manager), the city council is required to hold at least two meetings per month to conduct business. Normally, council meetings are scheduled for the first, third, and fourth Tuesday of the month and begin at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers on the third floor of City Hall at 8000 S Redwood Road. The meetings typically end by 9:00 p.m. unless extended by a majority vote of the council. There are a few times during the year where council meetings are held in different locations (e.g. the annual Strategic Plan Retreat, National "Night out against Crime") or at different times (e.g. election canvassing meetings following a general or special election). The official listed times for all meetings are published in the newspaper and can also be found on the City's official web site.
