Who runs this site? PDF Print E-mail

This site is bought, paid for, run, set-up, and depends on its measly content from Rob Bennett. Not content to live a quiet life of relative obscurity, Rob decided to run for West Jordan City Council in 2003 and managed to get elected by 98 votes. Those who want to do better than him are lining up their gun sights for fall of 2007 when he will be up for re-election.

No taxpayer funds are spent on this site. Rob pays for it out of his own pocket, hosting it through Assorted Internet, LLC. which offers very reasonable web hosting rates, and no - I don't get anything for plugging them. Rob has used a variety of web-based content management systems and this one is currently being run using the Joomla CMS system. Joomla is free and is open source software, meaning that a lot of dedicated and much-more-intelligent-than-Rob people are working together in their spare time to write and improve this system. Why would they do it for free? Obviously not a great social life, and since mom doesn't charge rent, they have time to build great projects similar to the pyramids, the great wall, and the MyDOOM virus.

Since Rob gets no income from this labor of love and does it out of the goodness of his heart (such as goodness can be found in the heart of anyone involved in politics), a periodic pat on the back or one less "let's burn Rob in effigy" message would be greatly appreciated.Smile
